Riley E- The government in my book controls my society because when people make mistakes, they are sent to the ruler, who will then punish them. People are no allowed to make mistakes because the society is supposed to be perfect. The lower-class people have to hide from the government because they don't want to get punished for being uglier than others, or making mistakes.
Aaliyah- The main character adapted because she was divergent. There was no certain faction that she belonged in. This made it difficult for her to choose where to go because she could have went to any faction.
Hank- My book, the Drowned Cities, is about a girl who is trying to stop the civil war the cities are in. Mahlia adapts to the society when she is caught by torturous war boys. She is tortured for information that she doesn't have, and they cut her hand off. The then escapes and is found by a doctor. For the rest of her life, she has to deal with only using her left hand, even though she is right handed
Alianny V - In my book "Strange New World", I have 2 main characters. I will talk about one of them, her name is Dahlia. She was raised as a clone but was actually made to be an individual, like you and me. She had recently escaped from the city where clone are manufactured, and fled to Mountainside - a normal city where clones are forced to work for all the individuals. She met Waverly- her clone who was raised as an individual but was made to be a clone - who was a reality star. Dahlia has to be Waverly on TV so she trains Dahlia to be a normal person, which only took about 3-4 weeks.
This sounds like an interesting book. This book is set in a very dystopian society if the government is cloning people for labor. If they are cloning for different jobs then they can get more done, but they are still acting like humans aren't human.
This is kind of like my book, because Nadia, the main character, wants to try and cure the Forgetting, which is self-explanatory, and then finds that the authority is hiding the only cure, so she adapts to exposing the Council, or the authority, from being afraid of them.
