In my book the main character is Mare. She rebels against the kingdom and how its ran. She joins a rebellion called The Scarlet Guard. They bomb planes and kill major people in the kingdom to weaken it. Once the kingdom is weaken they plan to set up a democracy where reds and silvers are equal. They also find newbloods, a mix of normal reds and superhuman silvers, to help fight the kingdom.

    1. I belive that Mare is a very bold person. She took action against her corrupt society and not just little actions. She kills people so that her kingdom won't be as powerful.

    2. This is similar to my series. Rowan, one of the main characters, fails his apprenticeship and becomes Scythe Lucifer bringing death to evil scythes in order to ease the corruption in their society. He kills Scythes and burns their bodies so they cannot be revived, and their influence over the Scythedom is weakened.

Mare seems like a very brave person if she is willing to rebel against a kingdom that she knows is a lot stronger than the force she is joining.

    5. My book is similar to yours because in my book there is a clone who escapes the city where clones are manufactured to escape from getting killed. She meet her other clone who lives as a normal person. They then plan sneak back in to the city to destroy all the DNA that is used manufacture the clones so they can't sell clones into slavery. To do that they had to blow up the building.

In my book, 1984, Winston does all these things in reaction to the corruption of the people around him. The Two Minutes of Hate is something he has to do, and he spends it all thinking about how much he hates the leader of his nation. When he is not supposed to write, he buys a journal to write his thoughts. All of these little actions accumulate and make him a rebel.

  3. In my book, the protagonists are kids named Citra and Rowan. The authority figures are scythes and the role they play is killing people. The actions that Citra and Rowan take is agreeing to be assistants of one particular scythe. This means that they will come when the scythe has to kill people and they might have to help if the scythe requests.

  4. Caleb- In my series, the Arc of a Scythe trilogy, Citra and Rowan, the main characters have different approaches to curing corruption in the Scythedom. Scythes must bring permanent death to people to control the population in a respectful, honorable manner. But after Scythe Goddard, the antagonist, kills his superiors he is put into a position of authority and kills by the hundreds by himself everyday and his followers follow suit. Citra, as a Scythe kills with honor as an example and comforts the individual. Citra also made public broadcasts to expose Goddard for horrible crimes. Rowan, however goes around and kills evil Scythes. The AI that rules the rest of the world however, works behind the scenes and creates rocket ships to establish other world colonies to save the human race from extinction.

This kind of relates to my book, as in my book, they kill people to create immortals, as the human heart takes out toxins in a plant nectar, creating an immortal serum, and the scientists mercilessly kill natives and create that serum. But once, long ago, a tribe honorably created immortals by giving Elders the nectar when the Elder volunteered, because they wanted to help the tribe. This was sort of a tradition carried out with honor, just like how Citra kills with honor in your book.

  5. Mason Farrar - In my book, the character does not realize the corruption of the authority, (Which in this case is a character named Paolo.) until later in the book. She first wants to join his team of scientists, but when she realizes that the team experiments on people, and kill them, she decides to leave the lab and go into the jungle. Also, the neighboring people decide to kill Paolo.

How does the character(s) change or adapt due to the existing society?
