In my society's past, there was a terrible war over life or choice. The result of the long and bloody war was the Unwind Accord. It stated that anyone from ages 13-17 could be taken apart, piece by piece, and distributed to others. No one wants to go back to the terrible days of war, so they let their children be taken away and Unwound. They call this peace.
Aaliyah- In my society everyone divided and it is seen as peaceful because everyone has the same amount of power. Until one faction tries to overrun all of the others. This conflict caused major problems in my book that greatly affected my society. Now it is unorganized and its just a warzone. There is no peace and there never will be again.
Johan - My book is something like this too. There are the scum and civilry. The scum are obviously the "bad guys" and they are trying to conquer the world.
Caleb-The Thunderhead, the artificial intelligence that runs my society is controlling the world and limiting the access to its "backbrain" where it stores the full culmination of all human knowledge. It tries to conceal things by putting things far into its backbrain so no one will be able to find it and be given information that could potentially allow the human race to change the world for good. No one is able to see how some things could impact them in the near future. But the real issue is scythes who kill to keep the population down, force it to hide information that could be much needed in the world and because it is bound by its programming to stay out of scythe affairs, they are making decisions to hide vital information informing people about conflicts and disasters that could negatively impact the entire world.
Sarah My society actually uses endless war for control over it's citizens. It uses the war to control the people into coming together against one enemy, even though that enemy may change. It forces it's citizens to believe in what the government believes, and think exactly how the government believes they should.
Eire- My book is set up in a similar way. They have an endless war and most of the people fighting are reds. This encourages the reds to find a job to avoid going to fight in the war.
Eire- The silvers have guards in the red villages to keep peace. The silvers have strict rules and some reds think if you follow the rules then you'll have a nice life. The silvers monitor everything. If the silvers didn't try to control the reds there would be more peace. Society has been built to keep silvers on top and reds below, fighting and working for the silvers.
Johan - There are a few guards in the prison ( My book setting ) that try and maintain peace. If there are any fights they will both be punished. But there are other people who try and disrupt the peace ( Book troublemakers ) who also try and escape.
In my book they do something similar and there are street police throughout all of the poor sectors. If they are about to die from the plague or try to run they will get shot.
Andrew In my book the government uses controlled plague diseases that they spread into the poor sectors to keep control and test the results of the sickness.
Logan - This is kind of like my book, and that's because someone kept hidden a certain cure to the Forgetting, which means that they use everyone else to see the bloodshed and chaos the Forgetting gives every 12 years.
In my book it is literally almost exactly the same, except Luna is the one spreading the plague to earth to have power and have war without Earthens knowing.
In my book the Earthens are in peace with Luna only because Luna is threatening war and the Earthens know who would win the war, even though they outnumber the Lunars severely.
