How is your society considered perfect?

  1. Jesse's reply to Saije: I think that this is a good example as it really isn't but everyone tries to believe it is. They try to believe this and in doing so, they dont realise the enemy is closer than they think. This is a great example of the question stated in this book.

  2. Mason (replying to Saije) I can relate my story to this response, as there is also a small society in my society's jungle run by a clan of people. they don't think they are perfect, but they definitely think they are better than the scientists. It is a happy place that even the main character enjoys more than the labs.

  3. Ayala: My society is considered perfect because everyone has their place, everyone has a place of their own. It is perfect because in everyone's area, they fit in. They are not much different from each other. They all look pretty in the pretties area, all uglies in the ugly area.

  4. Hadley- In my society, life technically never ends. When you do something wrong as a teenager, you are Unwound, which means you are taken apart, piece by piece, and your parts are distributed to other people. However, you are kept alive throughout the entire operation, so your life never ends. You are kept in a divided state, helping people in need. This is how the society reconciles the terrible things they have done to children.

  5. Riley E- The society in my book is considered perfect because it is perfect in its own way. It is perfect, according to the characters in book. Although if we think about it, it is weird and abnormal, but for the people in the book, it is not weird, and it is normal. They have rules that are different from rules in our world, and the way that people act is different for us, but it is normal for them, therefore, that society is perfect.

    1. Alejandra,
My book is similar to Riley's novel because the people living in the city think that their society is perfect, but from our perspectives, it isn't very normal. They have different rules and act differently, but in their eyes, it seems perfect. One of the abnormal things in my novel is that everyone has a bar code tattoo on their wrist and have 5000 clones. They have very strict rules but on of the most significant is to not stand out from your peers.

    2. Ayala: I agree with Riley because in my book, everyone thinks that their society is as perfect as it can be, but when we look at it in reality, everything they do is absurd. A community shouldn't feel the need to separate their people, under any circumstances.

    3. I agree with you because in my book they think that the society is perfect when it is really not. It may look perfect according to the characters however it just starts more conflict and drama when everyone is forced to stay seperate. People start to get jealous over what they could have had verses what they chose. This results in war and unnecessary conflict.

My book is a little bit like this in the way of being weird but not seeming so to the characters. The society is composed of a hierarchy, though the characters do not wish to be higher or lower in the level than they are. It is as if each level has different attributes, so, in a way, they are all the same.

  6. Alejandra,
My society is considered perfect because differences are discouraged, so that way everyone is the same. In my book, people are assigned jobs, given the same clothes, food, and told that being different would lead to deficiency in the city. Every single person is told that they are important to the service of the city and everyone matters. No one ever thinks about who is better than the other because because everyone is given the same materials to live. This is why the society is considered perfect because the society doesn't make mistakes and the life style of the civilians is very efficient.

    1. Ayala: I agree with this, because, in my society, differences happen, but are not supported. The pretty people are embarrassed if they are seen with the ugly people, that is why my society is broken off into two cities, one for ugly people, one for pretty people.

  7. Aaliyah- In my society everything is considered perfect because of how its divided. Everyone is divided by interest in to things called factions. At the age of 16 you choose which faction you want to go to. This makes sure that there is no conflict. However this worked for awhile until some factions became more powerful than another. This caused a great war where many people were manipulated into battle.

    1. The factions against the factions. This book has a nice climax of how evryone is perfect in the beggining and the they are grouped for war.

    2. Riley- My book is similar to your book because my society is also some what split. There are people who are ugly and informal, then there are people who are pretty and formal. Although the society is not actually split, the formal people tend to stay away from the ugly and informal people. Also, there is a separation between wine makers and cheese makers, and they highly dislike each other. Like your book, one over powers the other.

  8. My society is definatly considered perfect. Everything has to be managed such as the people and the population. In fact Scythes are citizens of this society that kill people in order to make sure that the population in under control.

  9. Brooklee- My society is considered perfect because everyone has a role that they are being forced to follow, even though they may not know it. They are being made to have these perfect little lives under the will of their godmother. The godmother forces them into these lives to achieve her perfect endings.

  10. Annabel: Mine is considered perfect because everyone is equal. What I mean by this is there is not color so there will be no racism. All girls where the same clothes and have the same hair. So do boys. Everyone weighs the same and there is no money so there won't be any judgement.

    1. Caleb:This is similar to my book, the artificial intelligence that rules the world ends racism with technology and uses small, pain-killing and emotionally supporting robots that keep people from passing judgement or hurting one another.

  11. Alianny Vargas Castillo- In my book there are 2 societies. The fist one is called Lakeview, which is a city where the make and sell clones. In this city, there are rules about everything and no one dares to break them. The clones also don't know that they are being sold.It is perfect because of the rules and that due to there being 5,000 clone of each, they all have many friends. The second city is called Mountainside, which is a normal city, with normal people just like you and me. The only difference is that no normal person has to do any work, the clones do. So to the people ( or clones ) that live in that city, life is perfect.
